Participant Information

This page contains practical information for your attendance at the 2nd UKHEC Annual Seminar, to be held on the 10th - 11th September, 2001. The seminar will be held in the University of Edinburgh Conference and Training Centre, 11 South College Street, Edinburgh, UK. If you are travelling by car, please note that parking is not straight forward. Most of the parking places near the venue are metered. However there is an NCP car park near Bristo Square (opposite the Appleton Tower - see the map) that could be used. If you are arriving by air, the airport is several miles outside the City centre. You can catch a bus from the airport which will stop just outside Waverley train station. Alternatively take an airport taxi directly to the venue which will cost in the region of fifteen pounds. Trains arrive at Waverley Station and you can take a taxi from there (ask for 11 South College Street) or you can walk directly to the venue which should only take 10 to 15 minutes. Old College is directly opposite the Conference and Training Centre and is accessible from South Bridge / Clerk Street. Please be there promptly at 7.00pm.
