The talk describes some common grid middleware software, such as Globus,
Legion, Unicore and others. Security mechanisms, resource management
architectures and user serivces will be described. Based on the Grid
User Requirements questionnaire produced under the ENACTS projects, the
users' requirements will be mapped onto the existing systems and the
most important lacks will be identified and deeply described. The talk
will also focus on the Global Grid Forum documents pointing out future
directions and best Grid practices and scenarios.
