UKHEC Seminar: Java for High End Computing

As part of the UK High End Computing (UKHEC) collaboration, EPCC is organising a one-day seminar on Java for High End Computing. This will be held in the Cramond room at The University of Edinburgh Conference and Training Centre on Monday the 20th of November, 2000. Information on getting to the venue can be found here.

The seminar will focus on the use of the Java programming language in Computational Science and Engineering including benchmarking, language issues and parallel programming models.

Lunch

Please note that lunch will not be provided. However, the venue is close to the University Of Edinburgh's Old College Buildings which are situated on one of the city's main streets. There is a wide selection of places to take lunch within 5-10 minutes walk, varying from sandwich bars and public houses to restaurants with set lunches at reasonable prices. Styles include Indian, Italian and Chinese as well as typical British fare.
